I am currently working on my creative non-fiction, Leave your Light on, which looks to be completed by January of 2009.
Leave your light on is the journey through a young girl's life from the darkness of; child molesters, drug addicts, rapists, foster homes, homelessness, and the agonizing disease of Bipolar.
In a world where adults rule, this young girl frees herself of oppression through imagination and poetry, her only light at the end of the tunnel.
As the journey derives and she opens her eyes she surprisingly finds herself as a teen mom, with an alcoholic abuser, numb from the past pain, in a financial hell and with the after effects of bipolar disorder she never knew she had.
Just as many gifted artists from our past, Van Gogh and Picaso, who dealt with similar diseases, this young girl proves to the world that even the dirt filled trash infested world of crime, drugs and the un-heavenly prostitution a brilliant light can shine and she is going to show the world just how to leave that light on....or die trying.
A twisted tale of a dark world that will inspire you to sing the praise of a young girl who loved too much, saw too much and went through way too much on her journey to the top of the hill.
